Eknath Deo, M.D., has practiced medicine in Long Beach since 1974. He received his training in Hematology at New York Medical College and Oncology at the U C Irvine. Dr. Deo completed his M.D. from the University of Bombay at the age of 21 and moved to New York in 1970.
He trained in Internal Medicine at The Jamaica Hospital, New York and in Hematology
at New York Medical College. Dr. Deo arrived at Long Beach in 1974 where he did his Fellowship in Hematology-Oncology at the U.C.Irvine.
Dr. Deo is board certified in Internal Medicine (1975) with subspecialty certifications in Hematology (1976) and Medical Oncology (1977). He was awarded Fellowship in the American College of Physicians in 1987.He is Associate Clinical Professor of Medicine at the U.C.Irvine.He was the Director of the American Cancer Society, Long Beach Harbor division and Chairman of their Health Systems Committee.
